Audi New Zealand has confirmed pricing and specifications for the all-new Q9, its largest and most luxurious SUV to date.
Priced from $194,990, the seven-seat Q9 combines premium interior materials and an extensive list of comfort and technology features. A six-seat configuration will also be available as an option.
Power comes from a 220kW 3.0-litre V6 TDI engine producing 630Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission and Audi’s Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system.
Standard equipment includes Sports seats.
The Q9 features mild-hybrid plus (MHEV plus) technology, designed to improve efficiency while retaining the performance expected of a flagship SUV.
Externally, the S line specification includes 22-inch alloy wheels and styling details designed to emphasise the Q9’s size and road presence.
Inside, the focus is on comfort for all occupants. Standard equipment includes Sports seats upholstered in fine Nappa leather, with front-seat heating, ventilation and massage functions, along with adjustable side bolsters.
The seven seater is priced from $194,990.
The second row also receives heated seats and heated door armrests, while heated armrests and a centre console add to the front-seat comfort. Five-zone climate control allows occupants to personalise the temperature throughout the cabin.
Other standard features include Digital Matrix LED headlights, a panoramic glass roof with switchable transparency and a Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system.
Audi New Zealand general manager Greg Leet says the Q9 represents the pinnacle of the brand’s SUV range, combining comfort, advanced technology and capability.

"It has been designed for customers who value exceptional comfort, advanced technology and effortless capability in equal measure. Every aspect of the vehicle has been carefully considered, from its striking design and commanding proportions through to the craftsmanship and innovation found throughout the cabin," he said.
When it comes to technology, at night a system projects a stylised turn signal onto the road surface in synchronisation with the vehicle's dynamic indicators, increasing visibility and helping other road users immediately recognise the driver's intended direction of travel.
The Q9 expands Audi’s large-SUV offering with a model designed for buyers seeking additional passenger space without compromising on luxury.
It has Audi’s Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system.
