Fans of Kiwi Formula 1 driver Liam Lawson have a chance to own one of his race helmets, the first time he’s sold one.
The TradeMe auction is being run by one of Lawson’s major New Zealand supporters, Turner’s Automotive Group.
Turner’s Chairman, Grant Baker, announced the auction on his social media channels this weekend.
The helmet was worn in 2025 at Baku where Lawson finished fifth.
“Turners have been supporting Liam’s dream to be a F1 driver since he was 16,” said Baker.
The helmet is from Lawson’s Baku race where he finished fifth, his best result so far in his F1 career.
The helmet is a Bell HP77, handmade by the craftsmen at Bell and features his Visa Cash App RB F1 Team design.
It has his signature, and is the first helmet he’s sold.
Lawson’s helmet has Maori-inspired motifs, including the iconic silver fern and Southern Cross stars of the national flag; it’s a distinctive statement with its vibrant pink and white livery and a modern tribute to his New Zealand roots.
The Baku helmet has been hand-signed by Lawson has still has the visor tear-offs on it.
The auction finished on Sunday September 13th, at 7:00pm and currently has a bid of $20,050 with the reserve not yet met. It’s available to be picked up at Turner’s Ellerslie office.
