Suzuki New Zealand has once again taken home the Canstar Customer Satisfaction New Car Award for 2026.

Over the past decade, Suzuki has won Canstar’s Best New Cars Award more than any other car brand, which is a testament to the customer satisfaction the Japanese car brand delivers to Kiwi consumers.

This is the seventh time Suzuki has secured the top spot in New Zealand, with previous back-to-back wins in 2014 and 2015, 2017 and 2018, and now 2024, 2025 and 2026.

The Customer Satisfaction New Car Award allows consumers to rate their new cars across six categories comprising overall satisfaction with the car, driving experience, reliability, point of sale service, after-sales service, and value for money.

“Suzuki is the only car marque to earn a perfect set of 5-Star reviews from its customers in our 2026 award ratings on key aspects of the car purchasing and ownership experience”, says Tom Slee, Canstar Group Manager – Wealth, Health & New Zealand.

“Along with Suzuki’s decade-long dominance of our award, these results prove that in an extremely competitive and fast-changing car market, Suzuki continues to deliver Kiwis quality vehicles, great value for money and memorable driving experiences.”

Aaron Wales, the National Automobile Sales Manager for Suzuki New Zealand, says, “To receive this award for the seventh time and the third year in a row is a massive achievement for the team and our supportive nationwide dealer network.”

“Receiving positive recognition from our loyal customers demonstrates our ability to meet the everyday driving needs of Kiwis with a range of reliable and suitable small cars and SUVs.”

Canstar is a well-respected consumer research organisation that helps consumers make better purchasing decisions. The business works with more than 30,000 products and more than 300 brands in the financial services industry.
