The global men’s health fundraiser, The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, had a record number of participants and raised NZ$12.60 million with New Zealand participants contributing $180,132 for the cause.
The event saw a record 127,000 riders participate on Sunday, May 18 around the world with the final results just in.
The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride (DGR) is renowned for bringing together motorcycle enthusiasts dressed in their finest attire to raise awareness for men’s health with Movember.
As in previous years, the fundraising event isn’t just for men, women also dress in their finest riding outfits and take to the roads on their motorbikes.
The global event included New Zealand with riders from around the country participating.
New Zealand had strong representation with official rides taking place nationwide from Whangarei in the north to Invercargill in the south, including Tauranga (pictured here).
Triumph Motorbikes' support plays a key role in building the event’s global reach and encouraging riders from all walks of life to participate.
Since the inception of the DGR in 2012, there has been $100m raised.
Participants in Tauranga showed up to support the men’s health charity ride.
Mark Hawwa, Founder of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride said: "Our 14th Distinguished Gentleman's Ride did not disappoint. 2025 was our most successful yet—not just in funds raised, but in lives reached and conversations started. Together with Triumph Motorcycles, we are driving a movement that saves lives and reminds folks around the world that men’s health matters everywhere.
"The support of Triumph Motorcycles has made this year even more special with the incredible craftsmanship in the custom hand-painted tank to commemorate 10 years of partnership with Movember. Thank you to the global Triumph family, every rider, donor, and volunteer who made 2025 our biggest year yet.”
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, the world’s largest and most stylish on road motorcycle charity event, will be returning next year, on Sunday 17 May 2026.
