Three special Aston Martins are up for sale at one of the first major auctions in the UK this year, albeit a virtual event.

Silverstone Auctions’ online event will take place on Friday 5th – Saturday 6th March with the catalogue of cars already shaping up with some special consignments, including three exquisite Aston Martins.

The first is an exceedingly rare left-hand drive 1963 Aston Martin DB4 Series 5, which is one of just 50 of these sedans built prior to the arrival of the DB5. One of the last cars to be built, it retains its original engine and gearbox numbers and is finished in its original specified colours of Aegean Blue over White Gold, which it still wears to this day.

Finished in British Racing Green is the 1970 Aston Martin DB6 MK2 Vantage.

Gary Dunne, Silverstone Auctions Sales Controller, commented, “We are thrilled with the significantly high standard of cars in our growing lot list for this sale and I can confirm there are many more coming. Even though the sale itself is online, our team is still able to see, touch and hear all of the cars as they arrive at our storage facility, creating a virtual showroom of choice for our buyers.”

Continuing with the spectacular lineup of cars going under the hammer next month is a rare and desirable 1970 Aston Martin DB6 MK2 Vantage. Finished in British Racing Green, it is one of just 71 that had the Vantage engine from new, half of those were right-hand drive sedans and with factory fitted manual gearbox – of which this is one.

The third Aston Martin is a 1969 DB6 MK2, which has benefitted from lots of recent attention at Aston Martin Works. With the history file detailing all of the work carried out, including a full interior retrim, it is remarkable that this is the same facility in which the car was originally built. Similarly, this too is a rare right-hand drive model with the manual gearbox.
