Elon Musk has said that full details of the final version of the Tesla Cybertruck should be out in quarter two this year.

“Designs are fixed”, he said, and “we’ll soon order the equipment to make the Cybertruck work”.

First customers could get their Cybertrucks by the very end of 2021, but most production will occur in 2022 and it could be 2023 before the first examples arrive in New Zealand.

The Cybertruck will be an image leader for Tesla and is hotly awaited. The large utility market continues to become more competitive. Production will take place at the Giga factory in Texas. Around 200,000 orders have been received.
