Porsche will soon add a cheaper Taycan to their existing model range of 4S, Turbo and Turbo S. It will be a two-wheel-drive model and will be the lowest price model in the range.

Being slightly lighter but with less traction, this should ordinarily a performance figure to 0-100 km/h still of 4.0 seconds like it’s 4S brothers. However Porsche R&D chief, Michael Steiner, recently said the 2S could have a smaller battery, so this could effect that expected performance figure somewhat.

It’s unclear if this model will make its way to New Zealand but we’ll let you know.
