The latest player in New Zealand’s new car industry, Chinese brand BYD, has had its first shipment of vehicles arrive in Auckland.

The ATTO 3 was delivered to the Port of Auckland and will be available to test drive in BYD Dealerships around the country before the end of July.

Pricing for the all-electric ATTO 3 starts at $52,990 for the standard range and tops out at $57,990 for the extended range, plus on-road costs.

Both variants are also eligible for the current full EV clean car rebate of $8625. The ATTO 3 is also comprehensively covered by a 6-year / 150,000km new vehicle warranty with 6-year roadside assistance package, while the Blade Battery is covered by an 8-year/160,000km (whichever comes first) warranty.

Customer delivery is expected to take place from the end of August for those who have pre-ordered an ATTO 3.

Due to the high level of interest, BYD New Zealand has managed to secure additional production from the factory.
