Your kids entered Rolls-Royce’s design competition, they’ve followed all the virtual lectures at the Petersen Automotive Museum in LA, well now it’s time for them to test their driving skills.

Don’t panic, I’m not suggesting you let them hoon up and down your driveway. Instead BMW New Zealand has a great idea to entertain the kids (and you) this gloomy weekend.

BMW has created downloadable ‘do-it-yourself’ entertainment packs for kids (and big kids) – one for building your own M Town racetrack, and the second for building your own cardboard car.

BMW NZ’s head of marketing, Gabrielle Byfield, said, “Kids may be short on new toys, but they aren’t short on creativity. With regular household items like leftover cardboard boxes and depleted toilet rolls, you can challenge your kids to create some BMW magic at home.

We’ve brought the joy of driving all over the world with our thrilling M Town events, everywhere from the Australian Outback to South Africa. The global Covid-19 pandemic may have temporarily put a pause on this, but it won’t stop us from bringing the joy of driving to your home.”

And to be part of the fun, BMW says share a snap/video of your racetrack in action and tag it #BMWDIY and you could become a M Town star and have your snap/video shared by BMW NZ on its Instagram page (@bmwnz).
