Just ahead of the Austin Grand Prix, F1 teammates George Russell and Kimi Antonelli kicked up some dirt in Ineos Grenadier 4X4s.

The pair swapped their Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 cars for vehicles slower but suitable for the dirt.

As part of a wider marketing campaign inviting customers to ‘Make Grenadier Your Own’, Russell and Antonelli are filmed taking a detour from the tarmac and pulling their Ineos Grenadiers into a ‘Grit Stop’.

A Grenadier pit crew feverishly sets to work fitting accessories, camping kit and customised enhancements.

The tongue-in-cheek ‘Grit Stop’ film highlights how the Grenadier can be customised to suit every buyer’s specific needs, preferences and character, unlocking the opportunity to experience the outdoors in a way that’s personal to them. Customers can ‘Make Grenadier Your Own’ with the configurator on the brand’s website here.

Jonathan Hill, Chief Marketing Officer at Ineos Automotive, said: “The Ineos Grenadier is built for more, designed to give owners the freedom to customise their vehicle to fit whatever their ‘more’ may be.

“With a dash of humour and the two hottest drivers in Formula 1, the ‘Grit Stop' film shows that customisation possibilities are endless. We hope it inspires everyone watching to kit out their own Grenadier.”

Ineos is a principal partner and one-third shareholder in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team.
