BMW New Zealand has announced pricing for the first vehicle in its Neue Klasse electric lineup, which offers an extended drive range of around 800km.

The  Neue Klasse BMW iX3 is set for local launch midyear with the iX3 50 xDrive variant and is priced at $125,900.

Unveiled to the world last year at the IAA Mobility show in Munich, the BMW iX3 represents a milestone in the transformation of the BMW Group while also playing a key and foundational role in the future direction of the company.

It has a A-pillar to A-pillar (110 cm) info screen.

This fully electric Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) spearheads the arrival of the Neue Klasse model generation and gives customers their first taste of the significant strides forward BMW has made in the areas of design, electrification, driving dynamics, digitalisation and circularity.

It integrates sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology, offers a driving range of up to 805 kilometres  (WLTP), 400kW charging, a characterful design language and holistic sustainability concept.

In the cabin, alongside myriad other elements and features, is BMW Panoramic Vision, a system that projects – in outstanding clarity – key vehicle information from A-pillar to A-pillar (43.3 inches/110 cm) on a nano-coated black printed surface.

The pioneering electronics and software architecture, incorporating four “superbrain” high-performance computers, covers driving dynamics, automated driving, infotainment, and basic and comfort-enhancing functions.

The “Heart of Joy” drivetrain and driving dynamics management technology introduces customers to unprecedented dynamism, precision and efficiency.

The BMW iX3 50 xDrive will be the first iX3 variant offered in New Zealand, with further fully electric variants to follow in the future.
