Just a few weeks after becoming an ambassador for the luxury Italian car brand Maserati, football star David Beckham has taken an interest in a very different type of vehicle.

Beckham has taken a 10 percent stake in Lunaz, a UK-based car restoration and electrification firm.

Beckham had invested in Lunaz through his investment vehicle, DB Ventures, the company said in a statement, but did not disclose the value of the deal.

"I was drawn to the company through their work restoring some of the most beautiful classic cars through upcycling and electrification," Beckham said in a statement.

Founded in 2018 by David Lorenz, Lunaz re-engineers and electrifies classic cars made by Rolls-Royce, Jaguar and Range Rover and Bentley.
