If you have to watch anything today, then it’s got to be this YouTube video featuring movie star Keanu Reeves, his Bill and Ted co-star and friend, Alex Winter, plus a few Porsches doing a road trip.

The pair drive from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles in two Porsche Taycan Turbos and are helped by former Top Gear USA and racing driver Tanner Foust.

Reeves and Winter are former Porsche owners so know their stuff, but my favourite part in the video is Reeves showing off his drifting skills he learned for his role in John Wick. The man can make a car dance!

The vlog description explains what they are up to. Their goal: see how hard they can drive on a single charge. Guest-starring some of the greatest icons of Porsche performance on the road today, sit down, buckle up, and enjoy the ride.

On the drive, they practice launch mode on a closed road, with help from Foust in a 911 GT3 RS. Reeves and Winter take turns going from stop to flat out in the Taycan Turbos are amazed at the instant power and speed from the electric cars, plus the amount of range still left.

Next stop is a hill climb thanks to help from Porsche factory driver and Le Mans winner Patrick Long in a 918 Spyder leading them up a two-mile hill climb on the Pacific Coast Highway. The acting pair compare driving the Taycan’s around the tight bends to riding their motorbikes.

Winter proves the better electric car driver by gaining miles thanks to regenerative driving on their way to LA on the 405 freeway, with 48 percent charge left compared with Reeves’ 43 percent.

The pair head to the Porsche Experience Centre in LA, where instructor Mark Hotchkis leads them through a drift challenge. Hotchkis explains that the Taycan holds the world’s drift record for an electric car with 219 revolutions. Bogus, dude.

Of course, Reeves masters drifting the Taycan Turbo in a circle, and he loves it so much, he has a second go. Excellent!
