AutoMuse featured first pictures of the Toyota Hilux last month, after it was featured in a Middle East dealer brochure. And now we have the real thing.

Toyota has added a 2.8-litre diesel engine, in edition to the existing 2.4-litre engine. The 2.8 puts out 151kW of power and will hit 100km/h in 10.0 seconds.

The Hilux has new front end look with a chunkier grill and bumper said to give it more presence. Some models also get LED light clusters for the front and rear.

The interior has been upgraded with a larger 8in screen and also Apple CarPlay/Android Auto capabilities. A higher end JBL 800 watt stereo system will also be offered.

Suspension and steering have been upgraded and are said to give a much better ride.
