All-new Maserati GranCabrio, GranTurismo in NZ

Maserati New Zealand has just launched the GranCabrio and GranTurismo, with the coupe marking 75 years since the creation of the Maserati A6 1500.

At launch, the GranCabrio is available in the Trofeo trim level, featuring the 6-cylinder internal combustion Nettuno engine, a 3.0-litre twin-turbo with 404kW.

The GranTurismo is available in two versions: the Modena, with the 490hp 3.0-litre V6 Nettuno Twin Turbo; the high-performance Trofeo version is based on the same engine, upgraded to a maximum power of 410kW.

The Trident’s new convertible is 100% made in Italy and follows in the footsteps of the GranTurismo, offering a new and captivating version of the grand tourer par excellence, without sacrificing luxury, performance, driving comfort, and sportiness.

The roof is made of fabric, perfect to take up as little space as possible when automatically stored in the trunk space – where it is put away in 14 seconds even when moving at speeds up to 50 km/h. It seats up to four passengers.

The GranCabrio is also steeped in history with the Spyder version spanning more than 60 years – the convertible variant of Maserati's first road-going sports car, the 3500 GT, was unveiled at the 1959 Geneva Motor Show.

Maserati’s latest addition is a luxury car that in its new convertible guise enhances the stylistic details and fine materials Maserati is known for to further enhance a journey in the name of the most enveloping driving pleasure, in total harmony and fusion with the panorama and the spirit of travel typical of the GranCabrio customer.

For lovers of open-air driving, Maserati has thought of everything; the GranCabrio comes with an innovative neck warmer standard, to heat the driver and passenger’s necks at three different levels of intensity.

One of the optional extras is the wind stopper, which can be used with two passengers and folded manually. When the top is open, it reduces the formation of turbulence inside the passenger compartment and makes it possible to enjoy the best of the vehicle’s aerodynamics.

The GranCabrio Trofeo is priced from $415,000 and is available to order now.

The GranTurismo coupé combines the high performance typical of a sports car with comfort suitable for long distances.

The classic proportions of the brand's cars have been maintained, with the long bonnet and the central body intersected by the four fenders. Conversely, the roof line drops dynamically to emphasise the curve of the pillar that features the iconic Trident logo.

The new model is the result of an innovative project that makes extensive use of lightweight materials such as aluminium and magnesium, together with high-performance steel. Such a multi-material approach required new manufacturing processes to be created, resulting in best-in-class weight levels.

The Maserati GranTurismo’s modern cabin is equipped with Innovative systems, including the Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) Multimedia system, the latest infotainment, a comfort display that brings together the main functions in an integrated touchscreen interface, a digital clock, the Heads-up Display (available as an option) and the Sonus faber audio system.

The GranTurismo Modena and Trofeo are priced from $340,000 and $390,000 and are available to order now.

The GranTurismo Folgore, 100% electric version, is scheduled to arrive in New Zealand in early 2025.
